A 'Security Deposit' of £1000 is required to be paid by a named driver upon collection of the motorhome by a debit or credit card.
We can generally hold this amount as a pre-authorisation and we release this hold in full providing the motorhome is returned with no damage.
Whilst Insurance will be in place for your hire, you are NOT covered for reversing incidents, damage caused by tail-swing or damage above 2.5 meters in height.
Our motorhomes have 'rear view' cameras, not 'reversing cameras', so we advise you to always have someone out guiding you back when reversing to avoid any damage.
We want you to get your Security Deposit returned in full as much as you do;
damage can be a major headache for a small company when a motorhome is back out the same day!
Upon collection, we do offer to take you out round the block firstly to give you some pointers and help you feel more comfortable driving the motorhome on your own.
KEY POINTS
- You are liable to cover the Insurance Excess of £1000 per claim/incident.
- Damage caused by reserving, tail-swing or over 2.5M is NOT covered by our Insurance so you'll be liable for these costs in full.
- Where the cost of damage is below £1000, we'll return any remaining monies to you - you don't lose your full deposit.
- There are insurance products on the market you can take out separately to cover any losses, as whilst you'll still be liable to pay us in the first instance, you may be able to recover some or all costs through these insurance products*
*(Unfortunately, we're not allowed to give any advice on Insurance products so you'll need to do your own research)
Nothing mentioned above is any different to any other hire company,
we're just a little more transparent, so if you have any questions
please get in touch and we'll do our best to put your mind at ease.
